Community education

Why DiverseTek built this library

Cybersecurity guidance should be understandable enough to use, honest about limitations, and available before a crisis becomes a sales opportunity.

The DiverseTek Community Resource Library brings together updated versions of public cybersecurity education originally developed through The Local IT, along with new guides built from real-world support experiences.

What makes a DiverseTek resource different

  • Plain-language steps instead of unexplained jargon
  • Links to official organizations for sensitive actions
  • Clear separation between free consumer rights and optional paid services
  • Honest explanations of what a control can and cannot protect
  • No account, marketing list, or payment required to read
  • Review dates so older advice can be revisited as technology changes

Built for sharing

These guides may be used as handouts, social-media links, seminar references, staff-education materials, or starting points for conversations with family and community members. Major guides include a designed PDF; shorter guides are optimized for browser printing and “Save as PDF.”

Educational scope

The library provides general technology and cybersecurity education. It is not legal, tax, credit, insurance, or financial advice. Product interfaces and official procedures change, so visitors should verify instructions on the linked official site.
